The Bridgewater is now The Mushroom Popper
Once designated the “Best Sandwich in Boston” by Boston Magazine, we’re bringing back one of our most popular seasonal specials. While long-time Cloverites will know it as The Bridgewater, it’s now going by The Mushroom Popper (or M-POP, as it’s designated on our internal systems.) Inspired by the unforgettable jalapeño poppers once served at The Charlie Horse Tavern*, The Mushroom Popper features crimini mushrooms from Rhode Island Mushroom Co, fried to perfection then glazed with our kicky honey-sriracha sauce. We lighten it up with ribbons of…
Starter Box

"I got my very first box from you today (The Starter box) and I’m so happy. And a bit annoyed I didn’t do this sooner! I have been enjoying food from Clover for ages way back to the food truck days. I was working in Burlington n the beginning of 2020 and would walk over to get lunch from Clover. Then of course the world changed and here we are 15 months later. I ordered a box this week because I hit a wall. I just could not get myself motivated to make lunch or dinner. Even my quick go-to things were too much effort. Making a grilled cheese or even boiling water for pasta felt literally too much. (My pets have remained all well fed during this of course!) This box is such a relief! You have taken the pressure off of me trying to put a meal together. I just look at the menu card and have a good and healthy meal! So thank you. For all you do - from supporting local farms to making sure people like me can get a magical box of delicious and healthy food to eat. (Oh and thanks for the call checking in today. I got the voicemail and that was incredibly nice of you) And while everything is yummy the brownie (which I’m eating right now) is delicious!!" —Kelly, August 2021

One size only. Feeds 1-2 people.
MEAL 1 - CHICKPEA FRITTER SANDWICHES
The item that started it all at Clover. The first sandwich we ever served on our food truck at MIT was inspired by an Israeli falafel shop in Paris that Ayr and Brooke visited before starting Clover. Your box includes everything you need to put together 2 sandwiches at home in less than 5 minutes. Makes 2 sandwiches.
- House-baked pita bread made with Maine Grains flour, you'll warm in your oven
- Herby, lemony falafel (already fried, you'll just warm in a pan or microwave)
- Silky hummus for spreading on pita
- Tomato-cucumber salad for adding next
- Pickled veggies (red cabbage, carrots, cucumbers) for garnishing
- Tahini sauce for drizzling on top
MEAL 2 - SEASONAL SOUP & SALAD As the seasons change, our hearty composed salads and scratch-made soups do too!
- 1 container seasonal soup (exact soup will vary)
- 1 container seasonal composed salad (exact salad will vary)
MEAL 3 - IMPOSSIBLE MEATBALLS IN TOMATO STEW WITH RICE PILAF
Maybe it's the fact that I grew up eating Middle Eastern food, but to me this meal smells like home. Simply warm the rice, warm the stew, warm the meatballs, and plate everything up. Makes 2 bowls.
- Lebanese-inspired Kofta meatballs made with Impossible meat made from plants
- Chickpea tomato stew
- Middle Eastern rice pilaf, dyed yellow with turmeric and studded with dried fruit, heats up soft and perfect with a splash of water in a pan
MEAL 4 - CLASSIC CLOVER BREAKFAST SANDWICHES
Everyone always asks us how we get that perfect egg, firm on the outside and custardy on the inside. Here's your chance to make the Classic Breakfast Sandwich at home, in less time than it takes to heat up a hot pocket. Not a breakfast person? Use the ingredients for lunch instead. Makes 2 sandwiches.
- Pita bread, you'll simply warm it in the oven and slice it
- Soft-boiled eggs, you'll simply heat them in warm water
- 1-year-aged Grafton cheddar cheese
- Tomato, you'll slice
- you'll add salt and pepper from your own kitchen
MEAL 5 - GRANOLA PARFAITS
- House-made granola made with Maine oats
- House-made fruit compote which changes seasonally (at the time of writing, it's apple but spring is coming which means rhubarb!!!)
- Add milk or yogurt from your own kitchen
- Makes 2 or more bowls
SNACK - SILKY HUMMUS WITH DIPPING VEGGIES
- Chris spins soaked chickpeas with olive oil, tahini, and fresh lemon juice to make buttery hummus. We cut fresh veggies in chip-sized pieces perfect for dipping.
HOUSE-BAKED DESSERTS
There was a time when Ayr said desserts were supposed to be a rare treat only. That went out the window when 2020 happened.
- 1 brownie made with rich chocolate and Maine Grains flour
- 1 piece of buttery shortbread
- 1 jar of seasonal white chocolate mousse (fruit will change seasonally!)
- 1 slice of Martina's olive oil cake
MAKE YOUR OWN SODA BAR
Play bartender with this fun little kit for making homemade soda, made with less sugar and more flavor than what you can buy in the store.
- 2 seasonal soda syrups (think local fruit like watermelon and blueberries, or vanilla bean, or ginger!)
- Instructions for mixing up your own soda
- Seltzer water (also plays well with SodaStreams)
